Dispute Management
A disagreement can sometimes arise after a sale, exchange, rental or auction. Here's the process to follow.
The 3-step process
- Friendly resolution. In most cases, a misunderstanding is solved through a calm conversation between both parties. Contact the other person, explain the issue clearly, and suggest a fair solution (refund, exchange, price reduction).
- Contacting support. If the discussion fails, contact our team via the contact page with: the link to the listing in question, the other person's name or phone number, and your written evidence (screenshots, photos of the issue).
- Contacting the authorities. If the problem remains unresolved, the parties may turn to the competent police or judicial authorities.
What our team does
- Reviews the reported account's history and the evidence provided.
- Mediates with the other party.
- Suspends or bans the account if fraud is confirmed.
What we cannot do
As a platform connecting buyers and sellers, Africans Market doesn't hold your funds and cannot issue a financial refund directly.
Preventing disputes
- Never buy remotely without seeing the product.
- Thoroughly test the item at handover, before paying.
